The case for a film clad Polyhouse over a conventional glass structure has never been stronger. The capital cost of a glass structure is significantly higher than the equivalent Polyhouse and is set to further increase if the proposed Health & Safety Executive initiative on glass cleaning is adopted.

A Polyhouse is more reliable than a glass structure with the cost of replacing the film cladding every 5 years comparing favourably over the cost of glass maintenance. Technical developments in film cladding can help improve growth rates, inhibit disease and reduce the use of costly chemicals.
