Canopies

Canopies protect customers from adverse weather conditions and provide a light and airy selling environment to attract customers.  These attractive and robust structures will extend the selling time in spring, autumn and winter  to increase sales and profitability.

Canopy arches are available in two styles - 'Trussed' or 'Portal Trellis' .  Both styles can be manufactured to comply with building regulations and offer the greatest strength against wind and snow loading.  The 'Portal Trellis' structure is much more aesthetically pleasing and architectural in look; the higher internal arch height gives a greater feeling of space for retail areas.

Stock size single clear span widths of 6.4m, 8m and 10m are available in either style an 8m span being the most economic whilst single span widths can be designed up to 12.5 and 15m on a custom basis. The arches and posts are jig welded then hot dip galvanised for longevity and anti corrosion. An option to factory powder coat or spray paint to suit customers colour reference is available upon request.

Hoop spacings are based on 2.5m intervals to any building length. Larger post spacings are available through the use of horizontal beams and can be used along a whole structure or more usually just where post locations collide with existing paths or doors to keep access.  5m long spacing beams with an intermediate hoop socket can easily be added whilst 7.5m and 10m versions are available only with upgraded posts.

Gutter heights between 2.5m & 3m are standard, heights greater than 3m can be achieved with upgraded posts.

Our canopy structures include wide Aluminium walk in gutters and can be retro fitted with permanent side walls or wind up blinds to enclose your structure during inclement or cold weather.

Foundations are usually required to be dug with the posts set in concrete. As an option pre-laid concrete pads can be installed ahead of schedule to our specification to allow the use of  plate feet with studding drilled into the foundation pad and fixed with a chemical resin mix.

If building regulations are required a site specific structural calculations report will be required to indicate the specification of posts and foundation materials as larger volumes of concrete are always required
