Benching
With glasshouse and Polyhouse space at a premium, a benching system can pay for itself very quickly by using more of the available area and improving crop quality. Mobile benches can increase the cropping area by up to 50% without significantly increasing fixed cost to help improve profitability.
Health & safety is a big consideration to prevent back problems caused by working at floor level.
Polybuild static benches are extremely strong and are "free standing" with height adjustable feet to accommodate uneven floors. The bench sides use extruded aluminium sections for maximum rigidity and strength with rolled edges for safety joined by durable cast corners for a very smart finish.

Polybuild's benches are particularly easy and fast to build as the benches are assembled via nut and bolt connections and 'Tek' screws; no drilling is required.
Benches are supplied with a choice of top to suit your application.
- Polystyrene with capillary matting is the most popular to allow plants to take water as they need it.
- Weldmesh provides a sterile environment and "air prunes" the roots with accurate watering.
- Flood tops give the best of both but are more expensive yet worth it as a long term investment.
Polybuild static benches look very smart and are often used for retail display in many garden centres.
